Just a random scene of stunning mountains

Since 2006 a group of us have been hitting the road on the Australia Day weekend and enjoying three or four days of riding Australia’s high country.

This year the group expanded to 11 people, which dropped back to 10 on day one when poor old Robbie put his BMW K1200 over the side of a cliff heading into Mansfield and fractured his wrist.

End of the road for him this year. Hope he joins us again next year minus the malfunction!

After a few of the boys finally pulled his bike back up and got him back to Benalla to check out that pesky kink in his arm, the rest of us…well… we just kept going.

Sorry Robbie.

Ssh... bikes are sleeping. Nice place to stop and hide from the heat for a bite to eat.

But I will say that every year I look forward to it a little bit more and it has now come to be the most revered thing I do every year.

Situated perfectly after Christmas, but just before Uni starts this is the most invigorating and exciting thing I do each year.

I love the riding, the company, the laughs and the scenery as we travel some of the most exquisite Australian countryside there is to see.

This year I filmed quite a few of the better roads with an Oregon STK 3 camera strapped to the indicator of my Buell Ulysses and a little hand held Flip Mino HD. The quality on the Oregon isn’t that great but I edited it together to a soundtrack courtesy of 30 Seconds to Mars, a track called Attack which I thought was apt. It came up a’ight.

Enjoy. I did.
